An exuberant west coast garden surrounds this spacious three bedroom home. The tranquil setting of house and garden on the front two acres blends naturally into the forest and attracts a variety of birds. Walking trails meander over creeks and through an undergrowth of ferns, old growth stumps and second growth trees on the back seven acres. Wander beautifully maintained trails through fern and mixed forest inhabited by pileated woodpeckers, flickers, thrush and many more birds. Just across the road there is a beach access trail to the ocean shoreline. At low tide you can walk out to Heriot Island and explore an amazing array of inter-tidal life with many varieties of crabs, sand dollars, sea cucumbers and more.

In the garden you can enjoy quiet moments at the fish pond. Baby robins may be nesting close by. You can harvest fresh herbs and raspberries from the organic vegetable garden to garnish your salads.

Outdoor features include a hot tub for four and patios on which to dine, BBQ or simply relax.  You can play horseshoes, badminton, croquet and bocce on the lawn.

The home features many amenities. The interior visually connects to the outdoors by many large windows, doors and skylight in various rooms. A lush collection of indoor houseplants seems to flow into the garden plantings outdoors. The owners travels are reflected in many beautiful exotic and eclectic items decorating the home. Many touches such as fir and tile floors, exposed beams, tasteful decorator colours and custom cabinets contribute to the feeling of warmth and quality.

One bedroom with queen size bed and ensuite is located past the living room for privacy. Two other bedrooms (one with a queen size bed, one with a double bed) lead off the family room, and share a second bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a propane stove, microwave and dishwasher. The family room includes an entertainment centre with cable TV/DVD and an office area with wireless internet.
